Narrative Tab
The Narrative Tab is designed for the FTO to document performance and training activity.
Important note on this article:
COPFTO allows both agency and group customization of the narrative creation and edit processes. This support article outlines the narrative creation processes and follows the true coaching model. Your agency may not follow these exactly processes, and your permissions on who can create and/or edit entries may be different than we explain below.
The Narrative Tab replaces the paper DOR pages 2-5 (shown below).
Exceeds will be highlighted Green Meets Standards No will be highlighted in Yellow
Left & Right Sides of the Narrative Tab
The left side of the narrative is used to document Performance and the right side is used to document training.

- Performance entries are single entries, but can have multiple training entries associated.
- Training Entries can be single or multiple.
- You can have a Performance entry without a Training Entry.
- You can have a Training entry without a performance entry (orphaned training entry)
- You can have multiple Training Entries without a Performance Entry.
- You can have a single Performance Entry with a single Training Entry.
- You can have a single Performance Entry with multiple Training Entries.
